But Gangubai Kathiawadi, the direct Hindi film based on the life of a mafia queen at a Red light area in Mumbai has emerged as a hit.<\/p>\n

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with Alia Bhatt in the title role, this became an instant winner at the box office.<\/p>\n

Critics and trade pundits say that both the star and the character that deals with prostitution pulled the audience to theatres.<\/p>\n

This can be called the next Bollywood hit after Suryavanshi since last year.<\/p>\n

The collections on Monday also maintained more than 30% which is an excellent performance in recent times.<\/p>\n

Moreover tomorrow is a holiday due to Mahashivarathri and this may add more footfalls to this.<\/p>\n

Though this is not what Bollywood has seen before the pandemic era, it can be considered as a light at the end of the tunnel to hope that the audience are still in mood to come to theatres to watch a direct Hindi film if the films are promising.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
