The Government of India had conferred Megastar Chiranjeevi with the Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian award of the Republic of India, after the Bharat Ratna. He is only the seventh actor to get the award and only the second Telugu actor after Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Megastar Chiranjeevi\u2019s contribution to the fields of Art and Social Service is very known to everyone.<\/p>\n
This honor is not just for Chiranjeevi, it is an honour for the crores of common people and their aspirations. Chiranjeevi who hails from a common background and a small village of West Godavari is a living example of what hardwork and determination can do to a man if persistent efforts and talent are combined. For millions of people, the film industry is a distant dream. Chiranjeevi is a blueprint for many filmmakers and actors who succeeded and an inspiration for many who aspire to set their foot in industry some day. Over 150 films and many of them are commercial blockbusters that changed the commerce of Telugu Cinema, and being the identity of Telugu cinema outside of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Chiranjeevi did not get anything easy. He toiled hard, he fell, he got up, he learned, and he won \u2013 it is a story of how an underdog won against all odds. Today there is at least a dozen heroes from the Mega family who came to the industry on Chiranjeevi\u2019s name. While some people have a different opinion about it, they are a mini-industry themselves and are instrumental in creating employment and livelihood for many. And one of the nicest quality of Chiranjeevi is being humble despite having managed the ultimate glory. He is one star who is approachable as well as down to earth. Chiranjeevi getting Padma Vibhushan is a common man\u2019s victory, a coronation to persistent endeavors, and an inspiration to crores of commoners.
