\"YsIn a blistering political offensive, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (AP PCC) president YS Sharmila launched a direct assault on YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief and her half-brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of practicing double standards in politics and serving vested interests.<\/span><\/p>\n

Addressing the media, Sharmila took a sarcastic swipe, stating that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi \u201cneither knows the art of showing muscle power nor the skill of crushing people under vehicles,\u201d a clear jab at what she implied were aggressive and unethical political practices. She remarked that Jagan\u2019s recent talk about having a \u201chotline\u201d was \u201cstrange and hypocritical,\u201d alleging that he already enjoys direct and privileged access to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah\u2014an advantage, she claimed, even senior leaders like N. Chandrababu Naidu or Rahul Gandhi do not possess.<\/p>\n

Sharmila alleged that Jagan habitually shifts blame onto others for the misdeeds of his own party members, describing this as a \u201ctrademark style\u201d of making covert political alliances while publicly projecting a different image. She did not mince words in questioning his leadership credibility and the core values he stands for.<\/p>\n

Continuing her tirade, Sharmila charged that Jagan \u201cbows before Modi\u201d and deliberately avoids speaking up in the Legislative Assembly on critical issues that affect the state. According to her, he refrains from responding to senior Congress leader Manickam Tagore or taking a firm stand against \u201cvote chori\u201d (vote theft) when the subject is raised in Parliament.<\/p>\n

Drawing a sharp contrast between the two leaders, she asserted that Rahul Gandhi fights tirelessly for the protection of democracy and the rights of the people, whereas Jagan, in her view, \u201cworks in opposition to democratic principles\u201d by aligning himself with forces that undermine them.<\/p>\n

Sharmila\u2019s remarks add a fresh layer of intensity to the political climate in Andhra Pradesh, where shifting alliances and sharp verbal exchanges have become the norm in the lead-up to the elections.
