“SharmilaAPCC President YS Sharmila’s Tearful Response to Brother’s Accusations”

During a press conference in Kadapa today, APCC President YS Sharmila couldn’t hold back tears as she addressed the accusations leveled against her by her brother, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. With emotion in her voice, Sharmila expressed deep hurt over Jagan’s claims that she entered politics solely for personal gain.

Refuting Jagan’s assertions, Sharmila recounted the sacrifices she made for her brother’s political journey. “He (Jagan) has been telling everyone that I have been contesting in elections only for political benefits. Is he not the one who made me enter politics? Is he not the one who requested me to go on a padayatra for him when he was in jail?” she questioned, her voice trembling with emotion.

Recalling her extensive padayatra, Sharmila emphasized that it was undertaken solely for Jagan’s cause, with the full support of the YCP. “If I want political benefits, had I not lured all YCP leaders towards me back then?” she queried, highlighting her commitment to her brother’s political vision.

Sharmila also drew attention to the common phenomenon of family members pursuing different political ideologies, asserting her independence of thought and action. “Many political leaders in the world come from the same family but work for different parties, only because of the difference in political ideologies,” she explained.

As she spoke, Sharmila’s emotions intensified, particularly when addressing Jagan directly. “Do you really believe that I want political gains and financial gains?” she challenged, her voice breaking. “I can solemnly swear on the Bible that I am not involved in politics for personal gain. Can you, in turn, swear on the Bible to prove my statement false?” she demanded of her brother.

Expressing dismay over negative propaganda against her, Sharmila underscored her familial ties to YS Rajashekar Reddy, questioning Jagan’s treatment of his own sister. “The YCP has engaged in extensive negative propaganda against me on social media, forgetting the fact that I am the daughter of YS Rajashekar Reddy,” she lamented.

In conclusion, Sharmila appealed to Jagan’s sense of family and the sacrifices she made to support his political ambitions. “Is this how you treat your sister, who made significant sacrifices in the past to help you ascend to power?” she asked, her tears reflecting the depth of her anguish.Read more..
