Eatala To Quit TRS, Assembly Seat On June 2?
It is now more or less confirmed that senior Telangana Rashtra Samithi leader and former state health minister Eatala Rajender will call it quits to the party to follow his own course path in the state politics.
According to sources close to him, Rajender, who has been sacked from the K Chandrasekhar Rao cabinet in the first week of May, is most likely to resign from the primary membership of the TRS and also from his assembly membership on June 2.
Apparently, Rajender has chosen the date to hog the limelight, as June 2 happens to be the Telangana formation day.
It was on this day in 2014 that Telangana got “liberated” from combined Andhra Pradesh and Rajender wants to announce that he got liberated from “Telangana” feudal regime on the same day 7 years later.
Though Rajender has not disclosed his cards on his future course of action yet, the media has been agog with the rumours that he might join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He admitted that he had indeed met the senior BJP leaders, but denied the reports that he would be joining the BJP.
He, however, told a news channel that he would soon take a call on his future political plans.
He made it clear that he would contest the by-elections to Huzurabad as an independent and after the elections, he would decide on what he should do later.
