Rathnam had a dismal start, collecting a mere 2 crore share from India on its first day across all versions. Overseas, the situation was even bleaker, with a total gross of just about $10,000 (approximately 8 lakhs INR). Vishal, who was once considered a reliable performer in the Telugu states, has seen his market diminish significantly in recent years.
