Naidu Denies Accommodation To Jagan
All said and done, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is the leader of the opposition and his party has won 67 MLAs in the last assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
The margin of victory between his party and the ruling Telugu Desam Party was only two per cent in terms of voting percentage.
And being the leader of the opposition, Jagan enjoys the Cabinet rank and in terms of stature, he is almost equal to chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
If Naidu and his cabinet colleagues have been allotted residential bungalows and quarters in Vijayawada or Amaravati, Jagan also deserves an official bungalow in his capacity as the opposition leader.
It is learnt Jagan has applied to the state government to allot the Roads and Buildings Department guest house in front of Swaraj Maidan in Vijayawada as his residential quarters. Since the guest house is not regularly used, it could be allotted to Jagan by making some modifications to suit requirements.
Moreover, the guest house is closer to his state party headquarters coming up close by in the piece of land belonging to YSRC leader Kolusu Parthasarathy. So, it would be easy for Jagan to go to the party office without any hassles regularly.
However, the Naidu government rejected Jagan’s plea outright on the ground that minister for roads and buildings Ch Ayyanna Patrudu has already been running camp office in parts of the R&B guest house.
Ironically, Jagan applied for the allotment of guest house long ago, much before it was given to Ayyanna Patrudu for the camp office. However, Naidu conveniently sat over Jagan’s application and has now rejected it citing Ayyanna’s office.https://kapusangam.com/WP/?p=483https://kapusangam.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/cbn-jagan.jpghttps://kapusangam.com/WP/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/cbn-jagan-150x150.jpgPoliticsAll said and done, YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is the leader of the opposition and his party has won 67 MLAs in the last assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
