Harish.raoA major development has surfaced in the sensational phone-tapping case that has rocked Telangana politics. The Panjagutta police have arrested three individuals connected to the case, marking a significant step in the ongoing investigation. This case, which initially stemmed from a complaint filed by G. Chakradhar Goud from Siddipet, has been closely watched due to the involvement of prominent political figures, including former minister Harish Rao and former DCP of the Task Force, Radhakishan Rao.

On Saturday, the Panjagutta police took three individuals into custody:

  • Todupunuri Santosh Kumar
  • Bandi Parasuramulu
  • Teljir Vamsi Krishna

These individuals were subsequently remanded to judicial custody. Among them, Vamsi Krishna played a crucial role in Harish Rao’s office, having served as his Personal Assistant (PA) when Rao was a minister.

Vamsi Krishna Hailing from Siddipet, Vamsi Krishna had previously worked as the Arogyasri Manager in Nalgonda District. However, he was dismissed from his role after being found guilty of irregularities. Despite this, he later joined Harish Rao’s office in 2023 as a PA, where he worked for about six months before becoming embroiled in the ongoing phone-tapping controversy.

The Allegations: Phone-Tapping and Political Harassment

The case took shape when Chakradhar Goud lodged a complaint alleging that his phone, along with those of his wife, family members, and driver, had been illegally tapped. He claimed that a special war room was set up in Siddipet under the supervision of DSP Praneeth Rao to facilitate the operation. According to his complaint, this large-scale surveillance took place throughout 2023, allegedly targeting political rivals and private individuals alike.

Furthermore, Goud has accused the previous government of filing false cases against him as part of a political vendetta. His allegations suggest that Harish Rao (A1) and Radhakrishan Rao (A2) were at the center of this operation.

As per the latest developments, DCP Vijay Kumar confirmed that the police have gathered substantial evidence against the three accused individuals. The court has remanded them to judicial custody until February 28, and they have been transferred to Chanchalguda Jail.

With Vamsi Krishna’s arrest, speculation is rife regarding Harish Rao’s possible involvement and potential arrest. Given that he has been named as Accused No.1 (A1) in the case, legal experts believe that further action could be imminent, depending on the evidence uncovered in the coming days.

The case has stirred a political storm in Telangana, with the opposition demanding strict action against those responsible. If further arrests follow, it could have significant implications for Harish Rao and his political future.

As the investigation continues, all eyes are on whether this development will lead to bigger revelations or even the arrest of high-profile figures.Read more
