13 MP Seats Finalized Between TDP Janasena!
The TDP-Janasena alliance has reportedly finalized candidates for 13 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state, with internal clarity about the candidature even though an official announcement is pending. The remaining positions are still being worked on, with 2-3 seats pending finalization due to the dynamic political landscape. Among the candidates confirmed are the three sitting MPs who left the ruling YSRCP: Raghuramakrishnan Raju for Narasapuram, Lau Srikrishna Devarayalu for Narasa Raopet (both from TDP), and Vallabhaneni Balashauri for Machilipatnam (from Janasena). Scrutiny of candidates for the remaining seats is ongoing.
For the Vizianagaram MP seat, contenders include Venkatesh, Kandi Chandrasekhar, and others.
The selection process for the Araku (ST) position is yet to begin. Names under consideration for the Rajamahendravaram seat include former MP Kambhampati Rammohan Rao, Boddu Venkataramana, Ganni Krishna, and Shishtla Lohit. Ganti Harish, the son of former Speaker Balayogi, has been finalized for Amalapuram.
There is interest from the daughter of former MP Buchimaheswara Rao for the same seat. The name of Pravasandhra Pemmasani Chandrasekhar for Guntur is under consideration, but due to negative discussions about giving seats to NRIs, Bhashyam Ramakrishna is being considered as an alternative. For the Bapatla (SC) seat, at least half a dozen names are being considered.
The selection process for Ongole and Nellore candidates is currently on hold, awaiting potential changes in the assembly seats. The names of R. Srinivasulareddy from Kadapa and Ritesh Reddy, son of former MLA Vijayamma, are also under consideration, but a final decision is yet to be made.
