Salaar: To cross 1000 Crore a first South Indian film
Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire is creating waves at the box office. The film, starring Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran, is poised to join the Rs 350 crore club after three days, with expectations of exceeding Rs 65 crore gross on its third day. Initial estimates suggest that Salaar had a morning occupancy of 60.49%, rising to 80.97% in the afternoon and 77.86% in the evening.
Following an impressive opening day collection of Rs 180 crore, it added Rs 115 crore on Saturday. Globally, Salaar has grossed Rs 295.7 crores in just two days. Salaar has to maintain its momentum to reach the 1000-crore club. After Baahubali, Prabhas hasn’t delivered a 1000-crore film. If Salaar enters the 1000 crore club then it will be the second film for Prashanth Neel after KGF Chapter 2. Even if Salaar doesn’t reach the 1000 crore mark, it will be considered a hugely successful film for Prabhas and Prashanth Neel and the wait for its second part is already soaring.
